Our seat namers – including our very own Lyric Ambassador Mel Giedroyc – have chosen to dedicate plaques to partners, family members, pets (!) and friends, to mark cherished memories or favourite productions, or simply to celebrate their own love of theatre.

From £500 for 5 years, your personalised seat plaque will take its place alongside familiar names including Stephen Fry, Harold Pinter and Joanna Lumley. Your message becomes part of our story and woven into the creative heart of West London. All while your donation helps sustain our award-winning work, both on- and off-stage. It’s a gift that carries meaning every time the curtain rises.

All seats are named for 5 years from plaque installation, but we’re very happy to discuss longer-term naming opportunities too.

The Lyric has been at the centre of the West London community for 130 years, and with a gift in your will you can ensure we continue to inspire audiences and support future generations of young people for the next century.

Your gift will be directed towards protecting our work, both on- and off-stage including developing our Main Stage shows and nurturing our programmes for underrepresented young people in the West London community. If you’d like to direct your gift to a specific area of our work, we would be happy to advise wording to ensure we preserve the intent behind your legacy.

You can donate a percentage of your estate or a specific sum, and we encourage you to seek legal advice when writing a will. The Lyric is a registered charity which means that any gifts will be exempt from inheritance tax. Young Lyric is the home for the Lyric’s work with children and young people. We offer free, inclusive, and high-quality opportunities in the arts to West Londoners. The Lyric believes that all young people deserve access to the arts. Especially those who would otherwise have no opportunity to engage with them.

Our aim is to widen access to the arts, inspiring young people to think creatively, gain cultural capital, and improve their social mobility. Our programmes are free of charge to participants and delivered in close partnership with local schools, councils, and youth services.

Our three flagship programmes are REWIND, START, and SPRINGBOARD, which work intensively with young people throughout the year, creating long-lasting impact with proven results. The demand for our free creative programmes continues to grow.

Our on-stage productions are at the heart of what we do at the Lyric, both in terms of engagement with audiences and young people, and as the theatre’s major source of income. Production support at the Lyric is a special opportunity for philanthropists to develop their relationship with the art on stage.

By supporting a show in its pre-production stage, your donation necessarily facilitates script workshops and readings, design concepts, composition and dramaturgy.
